A process that empowers an organisation to conduct an organized, selective, and ongoing procedure for gathering, selecting, analysing, and disseminating information.
According to the Observatory for Industrial Technology Foresight, technology watch is a structured system for searching, detecting, and analysing the environment to transmit information and knowledge continuously to be aware of the main activities in their sector. It led to the systematic identification of opportunities for modernisation and technology transfer as an activity to be incorporated within the management model of all EU companies.
