CETEM – Technology Centre of Furniture and Wood of the Region of Murcia
CETEM is a non-profit scientific research and training organisation located in the southeast of Spain. Created as an initiative of private companies, CETEM aims at transferring any kind of innovation to industries, especially SMEs, actively contributing towards their socioeconomic development through consultancy services, Research and Development activities, and the arrangement of training programmes dependent on the industry needs. Nowadays, CETEM is an organisation comprised of almost 100 associated companies. Most of them are SMEs in continuous search of ways to innovate their products and above all through brand-new and sometimes risky designs that increment their value.
CLUTEX – Cluster technical textiles
CLUTEX is only one Czech cluster focused on textiles. It represents 36 members from SME´s, large enterprises, associations, universities and R&D institutions. Main objectives of CLUTEX are: development and innovation; marketing and promotion; collecting and sharing information; participation on branch policy making; Education and training. Development and innovation are mainly focused on collective R&D project activities, implementation of the R&D results and innovation subjects created by members, updating of R&I program based on requirements of cluster members, development of new testing methods, prototyping and customisation of processes and products and flexible, cleaner production, circular economy, waste management, recycling, etc. Main fields of R&D are nanotechnology in textiles, (multi)functional textiles, recycling, zero-waste production, personal protective textiles, design of customized textile structures and biotechnology and bio-based resources.
CTCP – Footwear Technology Centre of Portugal
CTCP is a private, non-profit research institute and vocational training provider, founded in 1986, with more than 500 members, employs 54 technicians, and works with approximately 30 external consultants in a regular basis. CTCP’s facilities are placed in the North of Portugal, near Porto, in S. João da Madeira, and in Felgueiras, the two main industrial areas of Footwear in Portugal.
CTCP aims at supporting all companies of Footwear, Components and Leather Goods cluster in a total of 1900 SMEs at all fronts, from training to consultancy, on products technology innovation to sustainability.
The most relevant CTCP’s activities are: Quality Control Accredited Laboratory, Consultancy, Training, Marketing, R&D, Environment, Business Intelligence, Studies and comparative Research, Design and Prototyping (Shoe FAB-LAB) and Entrepreneurship. CTCP offers vocational and non-vocational training through classical training, work-based learning, e-learning, among other models and services.
FEDIT – Spanish Federation of Technology Centres
FEDIT is made up of 53 technology centres (TC), distributed throughout the national geography, with a workforce of close to 9,500 people who serve 26,000 companies annually. Our mission is to represent TC in the Spanish Science, Technology and Innovation system, as well as to promote their participation in this system, their cooperation with other research organisations, and the transference of their results to companies and society.
FEDIT’s activities, supported by its associates, are focused on the promotion of the TC activities, technology watch in different sectors, preparation of proposals in public policies, contribution to national and European public policies and technology transfer programmes, internal training to allow TC share their own experiences, and the organisation of public events to present our proposals and the TC projects that could be of interest for the society.
