As part of the TechGrow project’s commitment to enhancing Technology Watch skills within Europe’s manufacturing and traditional industries, three especializad training workshops were recently held in Spain, Portugal, and Czech. These workshops were organised to introduce and test TechGrow’s newly developed training resources materials and digital tools with professionals from the furniture, footwear, and textile sectors.
The workshops, hosted by CETEM in Spain (furniture), CTCP in Portugal (footwear), and CLUTEX in the Czech Republic (textile), drew more than 45 participants in total, with each session structured around practical learning and interactive activities. Designed to provide hands-on experience, the sessions enabled participants to test the TechGrow digital tools and apply newly developed materials to their respective fields.
Feedback from attendees has been overwhelmingly positive. Participants praised the workshops’ practical approach and expressed enthusiasm for the new resources, noting that the tools presented have clear potential to enhance Technology Watch processes and competitive intelligence within their industries.

This successful initiative highlights TechGrow’s effectiveness in bridging gaps in Technology Watch education for traditional manufacturing sectors.
Following this success, TechGrow plans to use participant feedback to refine its resources and develop a guided with recommendations for any VET provider that want to use the TechGrow results.
