On July 11 and 12, 2024, the partners of the TechGrow project gathered for a coordination meeting at the Portuguese Footwear Technology Center (CTCP), in S. João da Madeira, and at the headquarters of the Portuguese Association of Footwear, Components, Leather Goods and Related Manufacturers (APICCAPS).
During the meeting, the project partners focused on the current developments of the TechGrow initiative. Key discussions included the planning and preparation of training materials, as well as the selection of innovative best practices. These training materials will soon be available on the project website and utilized by partners in upcoming training sessions.

A notable highlight of the meeting was a capacity building activity led by CETEM. This session demonstrated the operation of the VINÇI technological watch tool to consortium members and CTCP technicians, aiming to ensure that attendees understand the platform’s mechanisms. This understanding will facilitate more efficient knowledge transfer during the September training sessions.
Participants also toured the CTCP facilities, where the different processes carried out to innovate in the footwear sector were shown, such as the work dedicated to chemical testing, quality control, 3D printing and robotics processes, training and promoting entrepreneurship, as well as the exhibition of products developed within the center.
Looking ahead, the project partners will organize a webinar to present all project results and emphasize the importance of technological watch for companies. Coordinated by Fedit, this webinar is scheduled for October 30. Further details will be available soon.
