Upcoming Launch of Innovative Training Program in Technology Watch and Competitive Intelligence by SIBILA Project

Exciting developments are underway as the SIBILA project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme, prepares to introduce an innovative training program tailored for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operating within traditional manufacturing sectors. Scheduled for imminent release, this initiative is poised to revolutionize how SMEs approach Technology Watch and Competitive Intelligence (TW&CI) strategy development.

SIBILA ‘s primary objective is to foster an integrated approach to TW&CI strategy building, with a focus on addressing the specific needs of SMEs in industries such as textiles and furniture. While the initial roll out targets these sectors, the methodology being developed by SIBILA holds promise for broader application across various traditional manufacturing industries throughout Europe.

With a meticulous analysis of TW&CI needs and strategic gaps in mind, SIBILA aims to facilitate access to enhanced Vocational Education and Training programs, catering to the identified knowledge and skill requirements of SMEs.

The imminent launch of the SIBILA training course, set to serve as the cornerstone of an upcoming e-training platform, has received unanimous approval from project partners and external experts. This training course structure, crafted based on thorough industry needs assessments, represents a collaborative effort to equip SMEs with a robust understanding of technology watch and competitive intelligence practices, with a particular emphasis on the furniture and textile sectors.

Structured into four distinct training modules, with a total of 23 learning hours, the Joint Curriculum promises a comprehensive learning experience. Each module will comprise multiple learning units covering essential aspects such as:

  1. Introduction to TW & CI
  2. Identification of strategic intelligence / TW&CI needs
  3. Gathering information
  4. Information analysis and evaluation, and outcomes
